Integration & Test Engineer

Job Description:

Saab Inc.’s Surveillance U.S. Division is seeking motivated Integration and Test Engineers to work at our Headquarter facility in East Syracuse, NY.

As part of a highly collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to work within a hands-on work environment, working on new radar technologies. This will give you an opportunity to not only learn about Saab, Inc. products, but will give you exposure to a variety of test tools and testing technologies to continue to build your skill set.

Under the guidance of Senior Engineers, the successful candidate will also:

  • Execute software and/or hardware testing at various levels of the build process.

  • Support integration activities, troubleshooting and regression testing.

  • Participate in engineering dry runs and formal test events with customer participation.

  • Identify, generate and validate test tools as necessary.

  • Develop integration & test plans and procedures and supporting test scripts.

  • Write test reports documenting the results of formal test events.

  • Analyze requirements and develop verification strategies for those requirements.

  • Participate in a hands-on lab environment setting utilizing a wide variety of test tools.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related discipline is required.

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical/engineering environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across disciplines and organizations.

  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel.

  • Experience with life-cycle management/tracking tool (i.e; JIRA)

  • Experience with requirements management tool desired (i.e; DOORS).

  • Experience with DoD customers is desirable but not required.

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
