Your Role

Saab Canada, Inc has offices in Ottawa supporting government relations and business development and Halifax supporting in-service support contracts. Our team in Medicine Hat supports international training and simulation contracts.
As part of the Onsite Support Team, the IT Support Officer provides high‑quality technical support and customer service to Saab staff across all sites in Canada. The role is based at our office in Halifax or in Ottawa. The role focuses on delivering responsive and reliable IT support while ensuring an excellent end‑user experience.
You will be responsible for resolving incidents and service requests across a broad range of IT systems and services, contributing to continuous improvement, effective knowledge sharing, and, where appropriate, participating in larger IT projects.
Some domestic business travel to other Saab sites will be required together with occasional business travel to Sweden.
Key Responsibilities;
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support for hardware, software, networking, and application issues via phone, email, remote access, and in person
- Provide 3rd level support where capable
- File and print services management
- Installation, configuration, and support of corporate and enterprise applications and tools
- Asset management and lifecycle tracking
- Audio‑visual systems setup, support, and maintenance
- Mobile device support
- Comply with all relevant legislation, company policies, and procedures
Your Profile
We are looking for you with strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. You have excellent customer‑facing and communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. In this role you also need to have ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-phased environment.
Skills & Experience;
- Experience working in an enterprise IT support environment
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise device management processes and tools
- Working knowledge of:
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Windows 11
- Microsoft Office 2024 / Microsoft 365 Apps
- Microsoft SCCM
- Audio‑visual systems
- Mobile device management
- Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
- Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification (CPCSC)
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
