Job Description:
Saab, Inc. seeks a Lead Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. This position will report directly to the Director of FP&A. This is a key position and a highly visible role requiring strong analytical and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities:
Lead preparation, analysis and completion of actual, budgeted and forecasted financial statements and presentations
Create and maintain financial tools and reports used for results, planning and analysis
Partner with corporate leaders to provide insights and optimize financial performance
Track and plan functional and corporate cost budgets and present to respective functional leads
Communicate results and projections to US and Swedish management
Work with business Finance Controllers to consolidate, analyze and understand results and projections
Interface with Accounting and Government Compliance functions to support monthly closings, audits and forward pricing rates
Support implementations of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Business Intelligence (BI) tools
Lead process improvements and consistency across the organization to enable more efficient and insightful planning and analysis
Skills and Experience:
Education and Experience:
10+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline
MBA or MS degree in Finance or related discipline preferred
Qualifications:
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize multiple tasks and drive solutions and process improvements
Demonstrated analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills through building models, reports and dashboards
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to lead discussions
Success with training junior financial analysts
Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with ERP software and BI tools, with ERP or BI implementation experience preferred
Familiar with US GAAP, IFRS and other general accounting rules and principles
