What you will be part of

At Saab, we develop advanced defence and security solutions that help protect societies and create a safer, more sustainable future. Within Saab Dynamics, we are on a strong growth journey – expanding capabilities, evolving existing systems and strengthening our international presence. Success requires structure, clear execution and the ability to balance a strategic perspective with operational focus.

We are now looking for a Liaison Office to support our activities in France. In this role, you will act as the key interface between our Business Units, our France Country Unit, local customers and industrial partners – contributing directly to Saab’s long-term presence and success in France.

Your role

In this role, you will support ongoing programs and projects within the Dynamics portfolio on the French market, primarily within the Business Unit Ground Combat. You will be responsible for planning, driving and delivering activities linked to larger program commitments in France – ensuring they are executed on time, on scope and in line with expectations. You will participate and contribute in cross-company discussions and collaboration to ensure our local presence.

The role requires strong leadership, solid technical understanding and the ability to navigate complex, fast-paced environments. You will manage stakeholder expectations, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with Saab’s commitments, processes and regulatory requirements.

Working across functions and organizations, you will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners, building strong customer relationships and driving effective cooperation throughout the project lifecycle.

Expectations

  • Stakeholder Interface: Act as the primary interface between the Business Units and French customers, partners and key stakeholders.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of trust and customer satisfaction.
  • Project Support: Support the Business Unit in delivering projects on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify, assess and mitigate risks while proactively driving opportunities that strengthen project and business outcomes.
  • Reporting & Governance: Prepare and present clear, relevant project updates to senior management and external stakeholders.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who have previous experiences as e.g. Project Manager who knows how to build strong collaboration across teams, functions and organizations. You are confident navigating complex environments, able to work independently while contributing to structured, high-performing teams – even when priorities evolve.

You are motivated, structured and communicative, with the ability to quickly adapt to new contexts, customer needs and stakeholder expectations. You foster engagement, contribute to a positive team climate and actively support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Skills

  • Academic background: A university degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience
  • Project management experience: At least 5 years of experience, preferably within defence, aerospace or another regulated industry
  • French defence ecosystem insight: Experience collaborating with Direction Générale de l'armement (DGA) and/or other parts of French defense industry is a strong asset
  • Systems & tools knowledge: Experience with project and portfolio management tools and/or ERP systems
  • Language skills: Excellent communication skills in French and English, written and spoken

The role is based in Paris and requires willingness to travel as needed within France, Sweden and internationally.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
