Saab’s Professional Services team is expanding, and we are now seeking a highly motivated Logistic Engineer to support our growing portfolio of critical Defence programs.
As a Logistic Engineer in our Adelaide-based team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery and sustainment of complex defence systems.
You will work across the lifecycle of defence projects, focusing on Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities, systems engineering, and lifecycle cost optimisation.

Key responsibilities:
As a key member of our technical documentation team, you will:
- Support the development, implementation, and management of logistics solutions across various defence projects.
- Develop and maintain ILS documentation including Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) data, and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA).
- Contribute to Lifecycle Cost Estimation and Configuration Management planning.
- Support Defence acquisition and sustainment activities aligned with ISO and Defence-specific frameworks.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and external clients to provide technical logistics input throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with engineering, cybersecurity, and risk teams to integrate logistics considerations in the overall solution design.
- Ensure compliance with Saab’s quality, health & safety, and security protocols, including adherence to PSPF, ISM, and ISO 27001 standards.
About you
You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in logistics engineering and a passion for supporting complex defence systems. You thrive in structured environments and enjoy collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Experience & Skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in defence logistics or ILS roles.
- Strong understanding of Defence logistics frameworks and processes (e.g., MIL-STD-1388, ASD logistics principles).
- Familiarity with Defence’s Capability Life Cycle and CASG environments.
- Proficiency in logistics modelling, technical documentation, and data analysis tools.
- Understanding of cybersecurity and ICT security considerations is advantageous.

- Ability to undertake tasks with minimal supervision whilst maintaining communication with own Supervisor.
- Ability to manage self in terms of time and process, exercises initiative, meeting milestone dates, completes tasks in a competent and timely manner and demonstrates professional ethics.
- Ability to adapt to new tasks, technologies, processes and procedures.
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
