Your role
X Innovation Lab is a small, highly capable team at the forefront of software-driven innovation. We operate with a fail fast, learn faster mindset, transforming ideas into tangible concepts while strengthening a culture of innovation across the Surveillance organization. We constantly explore new possibilities and challenge the status quo by asking: “What would happen if we…?"
As a manager for X Innovation Lab you will lead a highly skilled and innovative team within the area of software, data and AI. Your mission is to drive innovation by demonstrating that what seems impossible can be achieved.
You will:
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing innovation team
- Enable and support innovation initiatives across Saab Surveillance business units
- Actively participate in and facilitate innovation workshops with internal and external partners
- Build bridges between ideas and implementation
- Team wellbeing and individual development
- Budget and resource planning
- Strategic direction and competence development
Your profile
We are looking for a person with passion for our products and a strong belief in the competence and commitment of our employees. You have a curious mind, and you are confident in your leadership. You have a solid understanding of modern software practices and thrive in dynamic, evolving environments.
We also want you to have competence and experience within the majority of the following areas:
- Experience of leading and coaching people and a genuine interest in developing teams and people
- Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
- High adaptability and comfort navigating changing environments
- Strong business understanding and customer focus
- Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English
- Relevant professional or postgraduate qualifications
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
