Your role
You will be the Manager of the unit Production Quality; consisting of approximately ten Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians, covering the Quality Management planning, execution and monitoring within the manufacturing organisation. As a unit manager, you will work on a strategic, as well as on an operative level to secure and improve the execution of manufacturing from a quality perspective. This unit is in close collaboration in all manufacturing units within Surface Sensor Production and it is important to understand the interactions and its part in the bigger picture.
The units responsibility covers several manufacturing sites in Sweden.
Your tasks will typically include the following:
- Maintain and further strengthen the Quality Management within the Manufacturing Unit
- Be an active part of the quality department management team, also including the strategy and operational planning for all of the department’s working areas: Manufacturing Quality
- Line management responsibilities for Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians, including for example occupational health and safety responsibilities, competence planning and coaching.
- Empower your employees by coaching and leading according to Saab’s values
- Ensure that your employees have the competence and confidence to handle current and future work, and recruit and introduce new employees when applicable
- Translate strategies and high-level goals into clear and well communicated targets for your unit

You share your professional expertise and have a high degree of personal maturity. You also have the courage to drive change.
Required skills:
- Relevant education or experience within quality management
- Experience from line management, leadership and coaching
- An ability to work well with many different people and professions
- Excellent skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written
Desired skills:
- Experience from improvement work
- International experience
- Experience of the Saab product portfolio
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
