We are now looking for a new manager for Project and Planning to our department in Production for PU UTAAS/Trackfire in Järfälla. Are you an experienced leader who wants to combine excellent leadership skills and strategic thinking in the focal point of hardware? This might be the position for you!
Your role
Project and Planning Management Office (PMO) is managing subprojects within the Production Unit for PU UTAAS/Trackfire. As a manager you will both lead leaders and direct reporting staff in a department consisting of approximately 3 subproject managers and 5 production planners. In addition to this you will be responsible for developing the planning methodology and process as well as production project management ways of working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Your department’s focus is to plan and execute our production and production projects, including new product introduction (NPI), customer specific and production development projects. You will be responsible for the delivery and result of such projects including time, cost and quality targets.
There are two main product areas within the product unit: sight- and fire control systems for combat vehicles and remote weapon stations for both naval and land-based platforms, where one area of application is counter-UAS. The products are both in a stage where we need to grow low volume products make to order with high customization to a higher volume context based on make to stock.
Your main responsibilities are:
· Translating Saab, Surveillance and Production strategies into clear and well-communicated targets for your organization.
· Leading according to Saab´s organizational values.
· Full responsibility for results within your area, which includes safety and health, quality, delivery capacity, efficiency and finance.
· Coach and develop ability and competence within your team
· Empower your employees through value driven leadership.
· Secure product on-time deliveries with right quality and cost
· Follow-up and report status of ongoing production and NPI projects
· Follow-up and report status of planning capacity and KPI
· Develop efficient ways of working within your area, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvements.
· Maintain and develop relations with all relevant stakeholders.
You will be a valued member of the production management team and report directly to the Head of Production. The production unit consists of a total of around 40 employees, divided in 5 sections.
Your profile
We are looking for a person with previous management experience and to be successful in this role, you are a team player with good judgement and drive, you will demonstrate communicative leadership skills in order to create commitment and energy within the organization. You lead by values, visions and goals, and are a leader that makes changes happen - together with your team.
· Bachelor or Master of Science in engineering, project management or other adequate educational or equal working experience.
· Leadership experience within a relevant area, e.g. project management, or line management.
· Experience of working with or in manufacturing.
· Experience of working with Project Management and/or Production Planning.
· Proven ability and interest in leading, developing and challenging the organization, management teams and employees.
· Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions.
· Strong business understanding and customer focus.
· Excellent communication skills.
· Excellent skills in spoken and written Swedish and English
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
