Your role
Are you our next Manager of Rig & Test Environment? You will be a part of PU Fighter Radar and its System IVA and Test management team. You will report to the Head of System IVA and Test at Fighter Radar.
As manager you will have an important role within this PU:
- To be responsible for our products system- and sub-system rigs and test environment.
- To be responsible for and lead and coach the team in development, maintenance and sustainment of all system- and sub-system rigs and test equipment at the Product Unit to support testing on sub- and system level.
- To identify requirements on rigs, test environment, test equipment, simulators or other support toolsets from users and to derive a vision and roadmap for necessary development activities.
- To be responsible for rig & test tool investment planning and financials.
- To support dialogue and build relations with our customers and prime organizations to facilitate efficient rig and test equipment coordination with next level and other external test facilities.
- To support rig- and test equipment aspects of the product unit’s development and test strategy supporting product portfolio, roadmap and product release plans.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to align rigs and toolset’s
- To develop the efficiency of our test and automation ways of working.
All with the main purpose of securing efficient and timely product development and test, quality and customer satisfaction.
Business Unit Fighter Core Capabilities is a business unit within Saab Surveillance and has around 2000 employees. The Business Unit provides airborne sensors, avionics and self-protection solutions and has a strong presence in the global defense and security markets.
The Product Unit Fighter Radar is responsible for the business of Fighter Radar, Weapon Data Link and Missile Electronics. Furthermore, we are responsible for technical development within Fire Control Radars and Electronic Counter Measure systems and drive substantial R&D programs with the latest sensor technology. Product Unit Fighter Radar has around 160 employees.

- A genuine interest in the products, rig- and test equipment and test methodology.
- Ability and interest to work close to partners across sites.
- Ability to set strategy and goals for the test environment development and roadmap.
- Ability to plan the investment activities to reach required time, cost and quality needed
- Focus on importance of building cross functional relationships with both internal external stakeholders
Last but not least, you have the ability to create a collaborative work environment with transparency, respect and trust among your employees. You support Surveillance overall culture program “Together as One”.
