Your role
We are looking for a System Design manager, which means that you will be responsible for system design of the system level. You will be coaching and leading your unit towards common strategic goals, and develop common tools and adopt processes, such as the Integrated Product Creation (IPC), to support and facilitate their work.
You will be part of the Giraffe 1X Design management team and report to the Head of Giraffe 1X Design. In our management team all members contribute with their individual experiences and skills to create a collaborative yet dynamic environment. You are expected not only to work with your individual area of responsibility but also interact and support other units’ challenges to ensure we reach our common goal to design, develop and deliver world class surface sensor solutions.

As a manager you will demonstrate communicative leadership skills in order to create commitment and energy within the organization and your ability to establish a performance driven culture within your unit will be important. You have an interest in technology and a desire to continuously evolve our products and improve customer satisfaction. Surface Design is in a strong growth journey and as a leader you are expected to drive continuous improvements as well as identity new operational opportunities to enable our growth.
We also want you to have competence and experience within the majority of the following areas:
Experience of System design or product development
Knowledge within software development and CI/CD
Experience of leading and coaching people
Skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions
Strong business understanding and customer focus
A coaching leadership and ability to build relationships within and across the organization
A genuine interest to develop organizations, teams and people
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
