Saab, Inc. is in search of a motivated, enthusiastic Mechanical Engineering student who is interested in applying their studies to real-world product development through a paid Co-Op/ Internship opportunity for Summer 2027 (May - August).


Mechanical Engineering Co-Ops will:

  • Actively participate in the hardware development for Radar systems.

  • Work with senior mechanical engineers to design and develop models and drawings for various Radar systems.

  • Assist in the development of thermal and structural analysis reports.

  • Participate in internal technical meetings and design reviews.

  • Collaborate with mechanical lead for task planning and scheduling of own activities.

  • Familiarity with Solidworks is desired.


Compensation Range: $20.27-$22.30/hr
In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to off-set housing expenses for Co-Ops residing outside the typical office commuting distance.

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Requirements:

  • Enrollment in an accredited degree program focused in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

  • Completed Sophomore year or greater at time of hire.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

  • Prior Co-Op experience is preferred but not required.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
