As the MEP Technician, you will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within our Manufacturing Plant to ensure all equipment and systems function efficiently, safely, and according to maintenance standards. Your role will involve performing maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, and fault diagnosis.

You will ensure the smooth operation of building services while adhering to safety regulations and company procedures, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to minimize downtime and maintain a safe working environment.

The position is based at a facility operating within the defence sector and owned by Saab. This means the role requires a high level of professionalism, integrity, and strict compliance with Saab’s internal processes, and policies.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning)
  • Inspection of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, ducts and ventilation systems
  • Handling HT & LT Electrical Panels & Wirings
  • Checking generators, transformers, UPS systems, and lighting
  • Troubleshoot electrical breakdowns including all Utilities and Production equipment
  • Ensure electrical safety standards are followed
  • Repair pipelines, valves, pumps, and drainage systems
  • Maintain water supply and sewage systems
  • Fix leakages and plumbing faults
  • Inspect sanitary fittings and water tanks
  • Routine inspections and preventive maintenance
  • Record maintenance activities,
  • Solar Grid, Electric Vehicles and Material handling equipment maintenance

Your profile

We are looking for a structured and responsible person who enjoys working in a dynamic environment with many interfaces. You are proactive, solution‑oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of your tasks while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. You should have excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products and processes.

Dedicated and technically skilled MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Technician with experience in the installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building services systems. Proficient in maintaining HVAC equipment, electrical systems, plumbing networks, fire protection systems, pumps, generators, and other facility infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations. Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices, safety standards, and technical documentation. Experienced in diagnosing faults, minimizing downtime, and supporting facility operations through effective maintenance solutions. Committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Diploma Engineer in Electrical / Electronic / HVAC Engineering from a reputed institute
  • 06-10 years of experience in a precision engineering manufacturing Defence, Heavy Engineering, Pharma, Data Center environment, preferably within a European manufacturing facility, including a minimum of 3 years of independent responsibility as a Maintenance Technician in a mid-sized factory.
  • Knowledge of safety standards

Mandatory Skills

  • Valid Electrical Supervisor License (if required by state law)
  • Authorization to oversee HT/LT systems
  • Knowledge of Central Electricity Authority safety rules
  • Basic industrial safety certification
  • Fluent in written and spoken Hindi and English. Ability to communicate effectively with workforce

Required Skills

  • Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products and processes
  • Hands-on experience of maintaining shop floor machines and utility equipment.
  • Licensed Electrical Supervisor (State specific)
  • CEA compliance familiarity
  • HVAC certification
  • Fire system certification
  • Technical knowledge of MEP systems
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving

We also expect that you will follow all the security processes and have a deep safety awareness and follow the company rules regarding these areas.

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations and undergo a security vetting.
