Job Description:

Saab Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to join a team that is designing, building and supporting systems that keep air-travelers safe 24/7/365 all around the world.  In this role, you will contribute to the development of diverse network solutions for our customers. Both domestic and international travel will be necessary and can involve up to 30% of your time.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Implement and support networks that perform to both Saab specifications as well as our customers' specifications.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other technical disciplines including the product development teams, program deployment teams and customer support.

  • Develop ways to improve our products, documentation, ease of use, reliability, and serviceability.

  • Provide network device support to our customers with troubleshooting, device reconfiguration and replacement and technical refresh when deploying upgrades both remotely and on-site.

  • Develop high level knowledge of the products and systems for which the communication network will support. 

  • Demonstrate familiarity in Software/Operating System Configuration (primarily in a Linux environment), Network Design/Configuration and Troubleshooting.

  • Working knowledge of network tools such as Wireshark and other network tools and diagnostic techniques.

  • Participate in processor and switch selection.

  • Accurately document all aspects of the networks we create and support.  
     

Compensation Range: $69,100-$84,600

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

  • AAS or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline is required.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with Cisco devices and network communications protocols and Network Security.

  • CCNA and above are preferred.

  • Experience with design and configuration of wireless equipment is welcomed.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
