Occupational Health & Safety and Wellbeing Manager

Linköping,
Sweden
Closing date: 10 August 2025

Drive safety, wellbeing and performance — where engineering meets culture

At Saab Aeronautics, we believe that a safe, healthy and high-performing work environment is essential for long-term success. We’re now looking for an experienced OHS & Wellbeing Manager to take ownership of this agenda — combining technical expertise with leadership to shape a sustainable, effective and forward-looking workplace.

Your role

As OHS & Wellbeing Manager, you will lead and coordinate a small team of specialists and drive Aeronautics’ work environment efforts across the business area. This is a self-driven role that demands a high level of leadership, ownership and initiative, with direct involvement in both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.

You’ll operate across the organization in Sweden — and occasionally internationally — working closely with many stakeholders, such as line managers, safety and union representatives, internal support functions, Saab’s corporate OHS function, and authorities.

While line managers hold legal responsibility for the work environment, you will play a key role in guiding and enabling them, and in contributing to continuous improvement and compliance. You will partner closely with the HR department, helping to strengthen leadership, culture and more sustainable and efficient ways of working across the organization.

What you’ll do

  • Set and lead the OHS and wellbeing agenda in line with our People Strategy and business goals
  • Guide and enable managers in applying legislation, corporate policies and best practice
  • Coordinate ISO 45001 efforts — including audits, certification processes and internal reviews
  • Support investigations and follow-up of incidents and near misses
  • Represent Aeronautics in corporate OHS forums and contribute to group-wide development of processes, methods and tools
  • Deliver the Management Review for OHS and support sustainability reporting
  • Collaborate with internal functions (e.g. Quality, Environment, Property) and external partners such as authorities and occupational health providers
  • Continuously develop and strengthen the work environment organization, including statutory collaboration structures

Your profile

You bring deep expertise in occupational health and safety — and you understand that lasting impact comes from influencing both systematic, efficient ways of working and the people involved. You’re confident in technical and regulatory matters, but equally comfortable building strong relationships and supporting leadership and collaboration across functions. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and turn structure into action.

We believe you bring:

  • A university degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or in Engineering (e.g. Engineering Physics, Chemical Engineering, Risk Management), or another relevant discipline such as HR with a specialization in work environment
  • At least five years of experience in OHS-related roles
  • Experience in leadership or coordination, preferably involving specialist teams
  • Strong knowledge of Swedish work environment legislation and ISO 45001
  • A proactive, structured approach and a drive for continuous improvement
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across levels and disciplines
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, written and spoken

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
