Payroll Officer

The role

As part of our Finance & Admin group, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for providing support to the Payroll Manager on a 0.6 FTE basis.


Further, the successful candidate will provide on-time and accurate delivery of:

  • Administer end-to-end fortnightly payroll Employee and Resource maintenance 
  • Timesheet maintenance and transfers 
  • Leave balance reconciliations 
  • Modern Award reconciliation and calculations 
  • Internal controls relating to payroll function 
  • General Ledger account reconciliation for payroll clearing accounts 

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and part time will be considered for this role.

About you
Your skills and experience will include:

  • Previous experience as a Payroll Officer 
  • Intermediate level skill/experience in the use of Excel 
  • Understanding of Fair Work Australia Modern Awards
  • Able to analyse and communicate financial information
  • Pro-active, service orientated work style 
  • Effective contributor to a small team environment
