Job Description:

Saab is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual to fill the role of Project Manager.  This role is responsible for driving the transfer and delivery of technical documentation, product information, and production processes globally. ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with program and business needs. As an embedded liaison, you will coordinate across engineering, program and product management, and functional teams to support seamless technology transfer, eliminate roadblocks, and keep critical deliverables on track.

As a key member, the selected candidate will be tasked with ensuring successful day-to-day execution of existing programs. The individual will be a key player responsible for global coordination of people and team priorities to ensure the successful transfer of products. This is a key position with executive interactions internally and externally, and the successful candidate must display consistent impeccable judgment and embody Saab’s values. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels and geographically dispersed teams and customers, including executive leadership.

This is a two-year expat assignment located in Karlskoga, Sweden. Upon completion of assignment, this position will be located in Auburn Hills, MI.

Essential duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for the coordination and tracking of key efforts involved in the Transfer of Technology for munitions products.

  • Participates in the technical status meetings to ensure all parties are tracking to goals required for the business to successfully meet delivery dates for

  • Coordinate and help assimilate specific Technical Data Package (TDP) and Manufacturing Data packages (MDP) requirements are understood 

  • Development of full understanding of the manufacturing processes and testing and enables those process and testing transferred where applicable.

  • Ensures export control requirements are being followed. Works side by side with the global counterparts to ensure all requirements and technical information is transferred to Saab Inc.

Compensation Range: $146,800 - $190,800

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
 

Skills and Experience:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to work internationally for up to two years during the initial phase of the role.

  • Strong technical aptitude of missiles and munitions with the ability to interpret and manage engineering and program documentation

  • Experience in project or program management in a cross-functional environment

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work effectively in an international setting and relocate to Sweden for the duration of the assignment

  • Strong interpersonal (soft) skills to drive collaboration, influence decisions, and ensure strategic alignment across Land Systems and business units

  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to span cultural differences and an ability to mediate differing views

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Developing International manufacturing and supply base organizations

  • Defense production experience to include processes, production testing and product DD250

  • Familiar with technical data development and sustainment processes

  • Experience building relationships with strategic stakeholders
