Product Support Manager

Your role 
As a Product Support Manager, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for the project management, analysis, technical publications, and customer training within the Integrated Product Support (IPS) area. Your role is crucial in ensuring our products are designed, delivered and maintained to meet customer needs, with a focus on delivery capability, system availability, and long-term customer value. 


Key responsibilities: 

  • Lead and develop a team of project managers, analysts, technical writers, and trainers, including people management, competence development, resource planning, and fostering a positive work environment. 
  • Ensure product support deliveries meet contractual and customer requirements in terms of training, technical documentation, and sustainment. 
  • Develop and continuously improve ways of working to increase efficiency, quality, and collaboration within the team and across the organization. 
  • Drive digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives within the area. 
  • Collaborate closely with project management, system development, aftersales, and customer organisations. 
  • Contribute to the long-term development of product support capabilities within the product unit. 
      

Your profile 

To succeed in this role, you are a structured and development‑oriented leader who thrives in complex technical environments. You combine strategic thinking with a hands‑on, results‑driven mindset and understand how clear system descriptions, user interfaces, and operational guidance are critical parts of operational success. 

You build trust through clear communication, foster collaboration across organisational boundaries, and actively contribute to Saab’s strategic and cultural goals. With a strong business understanding and customer focus, you are able to balance long‑term planning with day‑to‑day execution. 

Required skills: 

  • MSc degree or equivalent experience 
  • Experience as a line manager, including people leadership and resource responsibility 
  • Experience within digital transformation and/or change management 
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken Swedish and English 
      

Desired skills: 

  • Experience working within the defence industry or aftermarket area 
  • Experience of working with radar systems or other complex system solutions 
      

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
