Job Description:

Saab, Inc. Surveillance Systems is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Program Manager to be responsible for the profitable execution of programs within the Air Traffic Management Division. The Program Manager will be responsible for the overall execution, cost, schedule, and technical performance of multiple domestic programs.  

 

Additional responsibilities of the Program Manager will include, but are not limited to:

  • Serving as customer Point of Contact (POC)

  • Building relationships in the customer community to service existing programs and find new and unique ways to deploy our technology to meet customer’s needs

  • Owning accountability for cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned programs.

  • Ensuring all projects within assigned program are managed and executed within approved program management processes and contractual requirements.

  • Identifying and managing risks and opportunities 

  • Providing consistent leadership to the program execution staff to ensure effective and efficient execution of assigned programs.

  • Working with functional management to ensure that the program team(s) are adequately staffed to achieve program objectives. Make personnel recommendations in support of key business objectives.

  • Ensuring performance of subcontractors.

  • Working closely with Sales and Product Management personnel to maintain institutional knowledge of the competitive landscape in the assigned market segment

  • Developing high quality competitive proposals that facilitate achieving business segment objectives.

  • Monitoring and guiding junior program managers to achieve delivery of quality products and services and contribute to the development and retention of program management talent.

  • Knowledge of program management standards and best practices

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% in support of program and business development efforts.  International travel required.

Compensation Range: $94,800-$120,900

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Business or related discipline is required. Master's degree/MBA is preferred.

  • 6-8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in program/project management.

  • Experience with U.S. Government Projects (both Operations and Engineering) programs is a plus.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with Atlassian products like JIRA, SharePoint and Confluence, preferred.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills, attention to detail while tracking multiple interdependent functions, and ability to follow-up action items and requests.

  • Must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, possess a strong work ethic and constant desire to learn.

  • Possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. 

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
