Your role
At business area Design within Surveillance, our responsibility is to ensure and align the common use and continuous development of technologies and platforms to secure future capabilities and deliveries. Our customers are other business areas within Surveillance.
The Project Office is tasked with leading the execution of the product development program Saab Digital Sensor Core (SDSC), while continuously enhancing project management practices to better support roadmap-driven development.
You will
As a Program Manager for SDSC—either for the entire program or a defined sub-program—you will direct the program in line with the established roadmap, ensuring the adoption of effective ways of working. These typically include a combination of waterfall methodologies and agile practices. The program coordinates the work of more than 200 contributors and accelerates customer-driven deliveries. Your key responsibilities will be:
Drive and lead the program forward by taking ownership of its execution in line with agreed roadmaps and delivery commitments. Ensure continuous alignment with strategic objectives and customer needs, and create clear, structured plans that visualize schedules and dependencies for effective decision-making.
Manage risks and financial performance by proactively identifying and mitigating risks, while maintaining oversight of the program’s finances through continuous follow-up and reporting. Communicate clearly across teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
Ensure efficiency and develop ways of working by executing the program according to company procedures and regulations, while challenging and improving existing processes. Contribute actively to building modern, efficient, and scalable project and program management practices.
Your profile
We are seeking experienced leaders in project and program management, with several years of leading complex initiatives and organizations. You have a proven ability to collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, Program Managers, and Line Managers, managing multiple stakeholders and interfaces. We welcome candidates interested in leading either the full SDSC program or a defined sub-program.
We believe the successful candidate has:
Academic education in Engineering Science
Extensive experience in managing complex projects and/or programs
Experience in hardware and software development
Experience working with agile methods
A driven, adaptable mindset and motivation to progress, with the ability to maintain direction in changing environments.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish, with a team-oriented leadership style
Experience within microwave technology is highly meritorious
This position requires that you pass a security vetting in accordance with current regulations regarding security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional requirements on citizenship may apply.
