At business area Design within Surveillance, our responsibility is to ensure and align the common use and continuous development of technologies and platforms to secure future capabilities and deliveries.
We are now seeking a motivated individual to lead the coordination of EU/NATO R&D projects within Surveillance as the Surveillance NEO Project Coordinator (NEO = NATO and EU Office).
The EU and NATO defense landscapes are rapidly evolving. In this role, you will coordinate high-stakes defense R&D projects in which Surveillance is involved, including the European Defence Fund (EDF), the European Defence Industry Programme (EDIP), and various NATO projects. This involves managing strict security compliance, handling classified data, and conducting partner vetting. This role coordinate projects with fast-paced industrial project execution, with a strong focus on rapid supply chain deployment and the management of sensitive intellectual property.
We expect you to be able to build and maintain trusted relationships across multinational consortia. Experience with EU and NATO projects, along with knowledge of dual-use technology and export-controlled products, is highly advantageous. A background in research and defense technology, particularly in areas such as AI, cyber, or aerospace, is also highly meritorious.
You will
SAAB Survelliance is involved in a large number of different NATOm EDF and EDIP projects.
As a coordinator for the EU/NATO R&D projects at Surveillance you will be part of a cross-functional team.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure that the start of the projects is done in a quality-assured manner, you will direct and review NATO/EDF project-starts, validate project directives and to guide the project leaders to a start in line with SAAB’s expectations.
- Compile and report progress in the projects. Ensure continuous alignment with strategic objectives and delivery commitments. In cooperation with the Quality representative perform assessments of the projects and lead lesson learned reviews. Compile draft-reports for CEO, be responsible for informing the EU SUR Team about the progress.
- Participate and occasionally lead activities in the stakeholder interface FMV/FM. Promote synergies between on-going EDF-project and connect to other relevant studies as well as development projects.
- Ensure long-term commitment and knowledge building in the whole Surveillance organization. You will keep an updated picture of which projects are ongoing. You will also support the project managers during the implementation of the project to ensure that SAAB gets the most value from the projects.
Your profile
We are seeking experienced coordinatiors in with experience from project management world, with several years of leading initiatives or coordination roles in a global environment. You have a proven ability to collaborate and manage multiple stakeholders and interfaces.
We believe the successful candidate has:
- Academic education in Engineering Science or other relevant education.
- Extensive experience in managing projects and/or programs.
- Proven knowledge in networking, communication and presentation.
- Experience of R&D/EU-projects.
- A driven, adaptable mindset and motivation to progress, with the ability to maintain direction in changing environments.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Swedish, with a team-oriented leadership style.
- Experience of leading as an enabler.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting in accordance with current regulations regarding security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional requirements on citizenship may apply.
