Job Description:
Saab, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will have mastered the ability to:
- Execute planned program activities in accordance with established procedures. 
- Review project documentation and work products to ensure compliance with internal standards and criteria. 
- Monitor project compliance in alignment with project plans and contractual requirements. 
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with program quality leads, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues. 
- Manage and track Corrective Action Requests (CARs), including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. 
- Partner with Supplier Quality and Sourcing teams to resolve vendor-related quality issues. 
- Generate and review Engineering Change Requests/Notices (ECR/N) and participate in Change Control Board (CCB) activities. 
- Support internal manufacturing processes, including NCMRs, PCAs, and FAIs. 
- Perform internal product and process audits to verify compliance with quality standards. 
- Identify and disposition nonconforming material in accordance with established procedures. 
- Participate in internal Material Review Boards (MRBs). 
- Influence program execution activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement. 
- Manage data and records within the Oracle ERP system. 
- Support incoming and pre-shipment inspections. 
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment. 
- Up to 10% possible domestic and international travel per year may be required to support program activities. 
Compensation Range: $70,200 - $87,800
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Skills and Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in an engineering discipline or related discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR MA/MS degree in an engineering discipline or related discipline with 1+ years of relevant experience. 
- Demonstrated understanding of quality systems, process control, and compliance within a regulated environment. 
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
- Experience interpreting and applying company policies, procedures, and contractual requirements to ensure compliance. 
- Ability to perform data-driven evaluations and support decision-making using established quality metrics and reporting tools. 
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle. 
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
- Ability to work independently with moderate guidance while managing multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment. 
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience developing or contributing to quality assurance documentation such as Quality Assurance Plans, audit reports, or process evaluations. 
- Familiarity with proposal support, cost estimation, and Basis of Estimate (BoE) development. 
- Working knowledge of contractual quality requirements and the ability to assess compliance with internal and external standards. 
- Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization within a production or engineering setting. 
- Experience supporting internal or external audits and engaging with customers or suppliers on quality-related topics. 
- Ability to mentor or provide guidance to less experienced quality professionals. 
- ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, or equivalent) or related quality training preferred.
