Regional Business Support Specialist – Asia

Your Role

We are looking for a Regional Business Support Specialist to enable efficient business support operations, coordination, and reporting across Asia. You will work closely with regional leadership including Country Managers, Finance, HR, and other Group functions to support business support activities and to ensure alignment with Saab’s global processes and governance.

As Regional Business Support Specialist, you will be part of the Group Business Development (GBD) Office team, reporting to Head of Business Office. The GBD organisation´s home base is in Sweden but has a global representation. This role is based locally in the Asia region where you will act as a key coordination point, supporting business support planning, financial follow-up, and cross-functional collaboration.

The GBD organisation has the responsibility to generate leads as well as act as the primary customer interface for business opportunities worldwide. GBD also provides customer- and market information to the Saab Business Areas, Saab Business Units and other Saab functions. They maintain functional ownership and governance of the marketing and sales function across the Saab Group.

This is a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment, offering a broad exposure to regional business operations and a key contribution to Saab’s global growth journey.

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Support and coordinate regional business support activities across Asia, ensuring alignment with GBD priorities and timelines
  • Assist regional leadership in planning, reporting, and follow-up of strategic and operational initiatives
  • Support the regional Finance function in coordination with the regional CFO
  • Act as a point of coordination for HR-related matters and processes across the region in collaboration with GBD HR and Country Managers
  • Coordinate with Group Functions (Tax, Legal, Security, Information Management, etc…) to ensure implementation and follow-up of corporate policies and standards
  • Support regional governance and compliance, ensuring documentation and processes are aligned with Saab’s policies and directives
  • Coordinate regional business support meetings, events, and business engagements, including logistics, communication, and follow-up
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication between regional offices and headquarters
  • Support continuous improvement of processes, tools, and ways of working within the region
  • Work in alignment with Saab’s policies, directives, and code of conduct
  • Other tasks within the GBD Office as deemed relevant from time to time

Regular travel will be required, including sometimes on weekends and during national holidays.

Your Profile

To thrive in this role, your have a strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and cultures. You work with a high level of structure, organization, and attention to detail. You also have a proactive and solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.

Following qualifications and experiences are considered required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or related discipline
  • 3–5+ years of experience in business support, coordination, finance administration, or similar role
  • Demonstrated strong experience of project management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to compile and present information clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Additional qualification:

  • Experience working in an international or matrix organisation is an advantage
  • Exposure to financial processes, reporting, or controlling is beneficial

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
