Resource Analyst

The role

Working with a team of highly skilled and dedicated practitioners, the Resource Analyst will facilitate effective resource management through the analysis of workforce demands from programs, forward planning, strategic workforce planning and workforce/resource reporting.

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Develop and manage the resource database to effectively manage resource capability and capacity
  • Analyse current, planned and future resource levels of tasking statements and provide forward guidance to stakeholders to support recruitment and capability management
  • Establish and maintain SQEP data attributes within the database to ensure supplied resources meet resource forecast demands
  • Generate reports and dashboards to articulate forecast resource requirements based on project timelines, team capacity and organisational goals
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise resource allocation
  • Provide support to working groups through reporting and data analysis functions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritise business requirements to ensure alignment with project objectives
  • Analyse current business processes and propose solutions to streamline workflows and enhance overall efficiency
  • Create detailed business requirements documents, functional specifications, and process flow diagrams to facilitate clear communication with development teams and other stakeholders.

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • A tertiary qualification in business administration, computer science, or a related field (desirable)
  • Extensive business analysis within a complex engineering and project execution organisation
  • Working with data analysis software, such as Saviom or Tableau (desirable)
  • Working within collaborative frameworks (desirable)
  • Analysis with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions
  • Requirements gathering, documentation, and process analysis
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience working in and leading in a complex stakeholder environment.

Applicants need to be Australian citizens and ideally hold a baseline or NV1 security clearance.
