As a Senior Avionics Requirements Engineer in our Avionics division, you will be responsible for defining, analysing, and managing systems requirements. You will work closely with our engineering teams to break down system-level requirements into software development and verification levels, ensuring traceability throughout the lifecycle. Your role will involve working according to the V-model to validate that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining requirement specifications and verification plans.
- Allocating system requirements to software and hardware components.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve requirement ambiguities.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, specifically DO-178C.
- Providing feedback and recommendations for improving requirements quality and traceability.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience working according to the V-model and a deep understanding of DO-178C, particularly its application within requirements engineering.
- Proven experience as a Requirements Engineer within the avionics, automotive, or embedded systems industry.
- Strong knowledge of requirements engineering methodologies and tools.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
- Experience working with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Jama.
- Knowledge of avionics software development processes and relevant industry standards.
It is considered a plus if you have experience with safety-critical software development and certification processes, as is familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Strong communication and documentation skills are essential, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders across different disciplines. Relevant certifications in systems engineering, avionics, or related fields would be considered a significant advantage.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
