Job Description:
Saab's Surveillance U.S. division is seeking a Senior FPGA/SoC engineer to support the Variable Aperture Digital Radar (VADR) product development effort. The position involves:
Participating in the design and architecture of FPGA-based communcation and digital signal processing algortihms.
Working independently to select methods and techniques for implementing said solutions in leading edge FPGA/SoC devices with high bandwidth memories, and multi-gigabit high speed communication interfaces.
Development of advanced digital signal processing algorithms for radar.
Assisting in the planning of tasks and collection/reporting of execution metrics
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related discipline
5 years of relevant experience
Ability to read, understand, and evaluate schematics
Experience with FPGA devices (e.g. Intel/Altera, Xilinx)
Skilled in VHDL
Skilled with design simulation with tools like ModelSim/QuestaSim.
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Skilled with Intel FPGA toolset (Quartus, Platform Designer, DSB Builder, etc).
Skilled with Matlab/Simulink
Experience with SoC devices
Experience with Digital Signal Processing applications
Experience with developing for Military Applications
Experience with issue and project tracking tools (eg. Atlassian JIRA)
Must hold or be able to obtain US DoD SECRET security clearance
Citizenship Requirements:
