Position: Senior Electro Mechanical Technician
We are looking for a qualified Senior Electro Mechanical Technician. The person must have the ability to Test, Fault-Find, Log-in failures and update job status on Shop orders. Work agile and contribute where it’s necessary.
Your role:
To ensure continuous adherence to all policies, procedures and production standards
Ability to Test, Fault-find, Log in failures, rectify/adjust and update job status on ERP Shop orders ensuring that delivery due dates are met
Assemble and integrate LRU’s and SRU’s
Testing and fault finding of complete units (LRU) and sub modules (SRU) up to assembly level
Testing and fault finding of analogue and digital circuitry up to component level
Installs, maintenance, calibrates and repairs basic electronic equipment were required
Generate feedback information, highlighting technical problems encountered on equipment for corrective action to be taken
Support the Manager in meeting departmental goals.
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies and procedures, health & safety, and environmental compliance
Observing and maintaining shelf life of materials, 5's, 6’s, ESD, FOD and other lean and manufacturing principles.
Ability to use processes and procedures as documented in executing Testing of parts i.e. SRU's and LRU's
Ensure proper use and safekeeping of tools, test equipment and special jigs used in execution of duties
Create MRB’s in system when any failures/blockers are experienced
Ensure that all testing equipment is appropriately calibrated
Delivery Deadline driven with customer focus
Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronics components, using relevant tools
Maintain inventory of job materials/consumables and floor stock
Your profile
The person must be output focused to ensure that customer deliveries are met. Be a team player to support the Manager in meeting departmental goals in terms of quality, performance, cost and timeous deliveries.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
10 years of related practical experience in an agile environment
Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronic units. Record data on testing results
Understands and applies configuration processes
Knowledge of the practical application of analogue and digital designs includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and technical know-how in troubleshooting
Achieves and maintains a high level of technical and professional skills/knowledge in job-related areas. Keeps abreast of current developments and trends in their area of expertise. Achieves required results in specific technical/professional areas
Must be able to understand the functionality of Test Equipment/Instrumentation and utilize them in Testing & fault-finding of SRU (Shop Replaceable Units) and LRU (Line Replaceable Units)
Must be able to adhere to the Company’s Standard Work Processes and give feedback to improve and execution thereof
Ability to read electronic circuit diagram, analyses and use it for fault finding. Logical and systematic analysis of circuitry
Assist in establishing production capability and training a resource

Required Qualification:
National Diploma / BTech Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
