Your role
We are now looking for a Senior Field Service Technician, as such you will ensure the optimal performance of our advanced sensor systems by performing maintenance, troubleshooting and technical investigations.
You will collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain system reliability and operational readiness. In this role, you will also take on additional responsibilities such as providing technical guidance, coordinating activities and supporting administrative and planning tasks. You will contribute to overseeing complex technical activities and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
This position offers a unique blend of hands-on technical work, coordination responsibilities and international exposure with a primary focus on operations in the Gdynia area, combined with trips to the Polish coast and occasional assignments abroad.
Normal working hours are daytime, but on-call duty may be required to address urgent operational matters.
You will receive comprehensive technical product-related training before starting the position.
Task within the role:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Saab’s advanced products
Conduct technical investigations and on- site system control
Capability to prioritize between different activities
Implement ad-hoc system repairs and corrective actions
Provide first line support for system users
Interface between system users and Saab’s support team
Establish and conduct operational training sessions and sharing knowledge workshops
Support communication between system users and Saab’s engineering team
Participate in creation of predictive maintenance plans
Coordinate logistics between manufacturing, servicing and local site
Support applicable administrative tasks
Participate in the development and implementation of new technologies and processes
Your profile
Proven experience in servicing advanced electrical, electronic and/or mechatronic systems
More than 5 years in a senior technical role
Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and software
Advance use of diagnostic software
Engineering or technical education (electrical engineering, mechatronics, electronics)
Ability to work on- call when required
Readiness to work in harsh environment and at heights
Ability to schedule and plan technical or engineering tasks
Experience in coordination of logistics and technical activities
Capability to provide technical training would be beneficial
Working proficiency in English enabling effective technical communication
Advanced computer skills and basic knowledge of computer networks are considered an additional advantage
Military background is considered as an additional advantage
Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
This position requires that you will be approved in a security vetting in accordance to ISO:27001+
