Job Responsibilities
- Analyze production processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
- Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to eliminate operational inefficiencies.
- Perform time studies, work measurements, and labor utilization analyses.
- Develop capacity models and support production planning activities.
- Design and improve facility layouts, workstation arrangements, and material flow processes.
- Support line balancing and workflow optimization efforts.
- Evaluate equipment utilization and identify opportunities for increased productivity.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to support decision-making.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor operational effectiveness.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Lead or support continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects.
- Coordinate implementation activities with production, safety, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, and status reports.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and defect reduction efforts.
- Participate in risk assessments and ergonomic evaluations.
Compensation Range: $115,700 - $150,500
Required Qualifications
- Typicall has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- Typically has a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
- Experience executing industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, or related field methodologies in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience conducting labor studies, line balancing, capacity analysis, and facility layout design.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, process flows, and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and process control methods.
- Experience with simulation software, or facility layout tools.
- Experience in defense manufacturing environments.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
