We are looking for a Senior Learning & Development Specialist who can take full responsibility from analysis to execution, and who thrives in a consultative, business-facing role.
Your role
As part of the Group HR Learning & Development team, you will drive strategic learning and capability initiatives across Saab’s critical technology areas. You will work closely with Group Strategy, Group Digitialisation, business leaders and competence owners to ensure our learning efforts directly support Saab’s long-term business goals.
In this role, you will:
- Act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders and competence owners, identifying capability needs in critical competence areas
- Turn insights into learning plans that, support business transformation goals
- Lead end-to-end capability and learning initiatives, securing alignment and ownership across stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver scalable, business-relevant solutions.
- Contribute to the evolution of Saab’s digital learning ecosystem
- Use data and insights to follow up and continuously improve learning outcomes.
You will be part of a Global L&D team responsible for Saab’s learning strategy, governance and company-wide guidelines. We work closely with key stakeholders, competence owners and L&D Leads in Business Areas and Operational Countries to ensure learning enables Saab’s long-term capabilities.
Your profile
You are a strategic and pragmatic L&D professional who builds strong partnerships, navigates complex environments and drives initiatives from analysis to implementation. You work confidently with senior stakeholders and enjoy operating in a technical context.
To be successful in this role, we believe you have
- Experience in strategic L&D business partnering or performance consulting.
- Ability to conduct capability or skills analyses and translate insights into clear recommendations.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end learning or capability initiatives in large or complex organisations.
- Experience collaborating with technical, engineering or competence-owning functions.
- Knowledge of learning ecosystems (LMS/LXP, analytics, content ecosystems) at a strategic or architectural level.
- Ability to use data and insights to guide decisions and measure impact.
- Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English.
It’s also considered meritorious if you have
Experience from technology-intensive or engineering-driven organisations.
Experience with capability frameworks, skills taxonomies or strategic workforce planning.
Experience managing L&D vendors or external suppliers.
Experience facilitating cross-functional capability or governance forums.
Experience from Industry and Academia collaboration
Location: The position may be located in Stockholm, Linköping, Gothenburg or Malmö.
