At Saab in Cranston, Rhode Island, you have the opportunity to join a team that will manufacture underwater products for DoD and international customers.
Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Senior Production Test Technician to assist in the standup of new production capability in our Cranston, Rhode Island facility.
You'll support manufacturing efforts by performing the set-up, assembly, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Utilize SW/HW test engineering principals, techniques, and company standards.
Assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
Understand sophisticated manufacturing operations concepts and apply concepts to resolve complex issues and meet company objectives.
Support assembly and final testing of a various undersea vehicles.
Provide input to process improvement efforts.
Skills and Experience:
Associate’s degree, technical/business school, or equivalent
7+ years of relevant experience
Experience may include advanced support skills and extensive knowledge of
tools, software and other technologies.
Ability to decipher required data from assembly drawing and schematics.
Ability to locate tool, meters and documentation.
Ability troubleshoot electro/mechanical nonconformance’s.
Ability to solder electronic devices and assemblies.
Ability to assign root cause to routing nonconforming assemblies and may implement corrective action or fix.
