Job Description:
Saab, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Control Inspector to work at our Ashburn, Virginia facility supporting Saab’s regional airline customers. As a member of the Quality team, you will be a critical contributor to the success of our global support organization.
Responsibilities include:
Inspection of inbound and outbound shipments of aircraft parts
Ascertaining that all certification documents accompanying parts are correct and complete in accordance with FAA and EASA Regulations
The release of parts in accordance with the requirements of the Production Organization Approval (POA)
Participating in periodic audits of the Quality System by Saab Quality management and the various National Authorities
Contribute to the Warehouse Team and perform warehouse duties
Work schedule will include after-hours on-call duties to support our regional aircraft customers
Data transactions within ERP system
Maintain Hazmat database
Monitoring of shelf-life material
Contribute to a people-first culture in alignment to Saab values, demonstrating core Company values: Trust, Drive, Expertise, and Support
Travel to audit customer consignment inventories
Other tasks as assigned
Compensation: Starting hourly rate $34-$41, depending on relevant experience
The compensation range provided is a general guideline. Skills and Experience:
High school degree or equivalent required, Associate’s degree is preferred
7+ years of relevant experience
Aircraft product knowledge preferred
Effective time management/multi-tasking, organizational skills
Knowledge of ERP system
Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
Effective communication skills
Continuous Process improvement mentality
Hazmat certified
Ability to read and understand technical manuals
Knowledge of safety procedures for warehouse operations
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
