Senior Systems Analyst (IFS)

The role

This position will function as a Senior within SAABs ICT Applications team, responsible for the management of the IFS ERP system. The role is responsible for oversight of all technical operations of IFS and associated componentry. Responsibilities include but not limited to; problem analysis, solutioning, functional and technical specification, data analysis, IFS system governance, monitoring and lifecycle management. The role also plays a key part in defining the ongoing strategy and roadmap of IFS within SAAB, aligning to both IT and organisational goals and strategies.

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and lead solution development to business problems
  • Work closely with architects, developers and vendors to define, solution and build IFS system components, artefacts and Integrations
  • Analyse and specify data requirements for core IFS functions, integration components, operational, tactical and strategic reporting
  • Support and administer the IFS ERP system, including governing, monitoring, troubleshooting.
  • Support of daily and operational IFS issues and business needs.
  • Accurately record, update, and document requests using the IT service and incident management system
  • Create and maintain technical documentation of the IFS system to support both solution representation and support artefacts
  • Govern technical changes to the IFS system in alignment with broader IT change protocols
  • Provide technical guidance to integration developers and team members

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Solid experience in the IFS ERP system including functional and technical in Defence Industry
  • Solid experience configuring and administering IFS core system components and functional modules including but not limited to; user provisioning, permissions and managements, IFS customisations - creation, registration and maintenance, metadata management, custom fields etc
  • Solid working experience with database technologies such as Oracle and Microsoft
  • Skills and or ability in in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, procedures, triggers, packages, functions etc • Knowledge and understanding of IFS API capability
  • Experience with application deployment and release management;
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in one or more of; defence, manufacturing or an engineering environment
  • Experience or understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Formal qualifications in an IT discipline or relevant certification is desirable

As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level or have the ability to gain one. [if role has ITAR requirement] Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes, including ITAR.
