Your role
As a Senior Talent and Acquisition Specialist, at Saab Abu Dhabi, you will play an essential role in our recruitment efforts, helping to define both current and future needs to attract the right talent for long-term growth. Working closely with management, you will provide guidance to meet their recruitment needs effectively. You will also represent our organisation at student fairs and other employer branding initiatives, showcasing our culture and values to attract a diverse pool of talent.
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, beginning with defining role requirements and creating engaging job advertisements. Your responsibilities will include candidate screening, conducting assessments, and leading competency-based interviews, as well as coordinating interviews with management. Additionally, you will manage reference checks and security vetting’s as needed.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to drive initiatives aimed at continuous improvement, focusing on refining our recruitment processes and tools to increase efficiency. Your proactive mindset will be key in adapting to the evolving demands of the talent market and ensuring we remain competitive in attracting top candidates.
Your profile

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with experience in writing and editing advertisements. A structured approach to work, combined with flexibility and perseverance, will be key to success in this role. Additionally, we seek a self-motivated individual with a proven track record in driving recruitment efforts. You take initiative and create structure in your own work, demonstrating the ability to lead projects effectively.
Required qualifications:
- Academic background in HR or a related field.
- At least five years of proven experience in leading full-cycle recruitment processes, ideally with a focus on technical roles.
- Strong understanding of the talent market, sourcing techniques, and talent attraction strategies.
- Experience in managing stakeholders and building strong relationships with hiring managers and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with assessment tools, preferably Aon (advantageous).
- Experience with the HR system Workday (advantageous).
- Background in the defence industry and/or companies within the aircraft domain (advantageous).
- Setting up Internship/Trainee programs.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
