Saab is looking for Solution Architects to strengthen the development of our TactiCall communication solutions.
You will work close to engineers, product architects, customers, and suppliers to shape solutions that are sustainable, secure, and reusable across products, with a strong focus on shortening the time from new needs to fielded capability.
You will join a team dedicated to innovation and excellence, where your contributions will directly impact the safety and success of mission-critical operations.
Your role
You will define and guide end-to-end solution architecture across the product lifecycle, from early needs and requirements to validation and long-term operability.
You will establish and maintain cross-product architectural governance and decision-making.
Key responsibilities
Enable shorter lead time from requirement to fielded capability by driving modular architecture, reuse, standardization and automation-friendly solution design.
Lead requirements management and architectural trade-offs, ensuring solutions meet functional and quality needs.
Apply MBSE and structured systems thinking to improve clarity, consistency, and traceability.
Produce and maintain architectural documentation (views, interfaces, decisions, patterns) that enables delivery and lifecycle support.
Collaborate across teams to ensure solutions are buildable, testable, deployable, supportable, and upgradeable.
Work close to customer reality to ensure solutions support rapid, controlled change and fast feedback loops into the product roadmap.
Your profile
You are a broad, lifecycle-oriented architect who enjoys solving real problems with pragmatic solutions. You create alignment, communicate clearly, and enable teams to deliver.
Key qualifications:
Strong background in IT systems and/or software development.
Experience with solution architecture across the lifecycle (requirements, design, implementation support, verification/validation, deployment/operations), preferably from a regulated or standards-driven environment.
Practical experience with requirements engineering/management, MBSE, and architectural documentation.
Ability to assess and select existing internal solutions, COTS, and standards, and justify when bespoke development is needed.
Structured working approach and strong communication skills in English.
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science / Software Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance by the Danish Defence Intelligence Service. This entails that candidates, as a minimum, have had residency within NATO/EU for the last 7 years.
