Your Role

As a Supplier Quality Manager you will be part of a team driving quality assurance in relation with suppliers and cutting-edge technology for Saab Surveillance’s products. You will work closely with purchasers, production, product management, product design and suppliers to align requirements and find opportunities to add value for Saab in terms of quality, cost and technology. You will be a member of the Supplier Quality Management team within the Surveillance Procurement organization. The position is based at our premises in Solna Strand/Järfälla, where the majority of the work takes place on site. The Procurement organization stretches over several different geographical locations where you can be involved in assignments from other locations than your primary work location which means that travels occurs regularly (the majority within Sweden) on average about once a month.

Your main tasks are:

  • Communicate relevant requirements in the supply chain, for example regarding process/product quality and general company requirements.
  • Handle planning of supplier quality assurance, carry out activities such as audits, process qualifications and process improvements to ensure product quality.
  • Work proactively with risk minimization and preventive improvements in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Handle supplier deviations with a strong focus on improvements, by challenging and supporting suppliers in defining and implementing preventive actions.
  • Work in a global supplier market in close relation with suppliers and relevant Saab stakeholders.

Your profile

  • You are a self-motivated person with great communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You are used to collaborate with team members where the team also involves external interfaces where you build trust and you must be persevering to enable our success. You are a natural gatekeeper who can convey requirements with confidence, but at the same time with respect and clarity.

Requirements:

  • At least three years of experience in supplier quality assurance, quality methods and tools, or similar experience from industrial operations.
  • University or master’s degree, preferably with a technical orientation. Alternatively, other relevant education/experience.
  • Documented knowledge and experience of working according to ISO 9001/EN9100 or equivalent.
  • Very good analytical ability, including effective root cause analysis.
  • Category B driving license.
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Meriting:

  • Certified auditor.
  • Good knowledge of management systems, code of conduct, Business Continuity Management, information security, risk management, AQAP, SE-EMAR, PART 21G, etc.
  • Experience of working in an international environment.
  • The ability to collaborate well with many different people and professions is a key to success, therefore excellent communication skills are required.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
