Your Role

We at Saab Dynamics and Underwater Systems are growing and need more colleagues. Right now we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our wonderful team in Linköping. With us you will have the chance to work in a purchasing team with a strong business focus, great commitment and a lot of drive!
 

As a Supply Chain Manager you will work closely with the various supplier teams and the purchasing management group. Having a business‑oriented mindset is important in this role, and it is also useful to be familiar with the challenges and opportunities in the supplier market. The work includes, among other things, ensuring that we follow Saab’s purchasing strategy, working as project leaders to support supplier managers and the management team on specific development projects, and being responsible for compliance and the resilience work of the organization.
 

The position involves travel.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead development work in projects to implement the set strategic direction for the business.
  • Be responsible for leading the work on implementing the resiliences strategy for the supply chain. This includes conducting continuous analysis in accordance with the defined method.
  • Create and continuously develop strategies for the supplier base together with category managers, with a focus on implementation.
  • Lead the monitoring of supplier‑base performance, which involves data collection, visualization and preparation of decision‑support material.
  • Support the business by coordinating activities within the purchasing framework.

Your profile

You have a strong academic background that can be built upon according to the specific needs of the business. You have a great interest in the products and businesses we work with and a good understanding of the defense‑political context in which we operate. You are structured and skilled at visualizing and presenting facts. You are used to collaborating efficiently with team members and other stakeholders. You can quickly adapt to new situations and contexts, act pragmatically, and take strong responsibility for processes and results. You are proactive, not only generating new ideas but also capable of implementing them.
 

Your tasks will be performed in both Swedish and English, so a good command of English is a prerequisite. Having a strong technical interest and understanding of complex systems and advanced products is a plus.

You hold a university degree in a relevant field such as logistics, procurement, economics, law, a master’s program from the Defense University, or you have extensive documented experience in the area.

A positive basic attitude is important for succeeding in the role, as is strong communication skills.
