Your role
As Manager for Software Design C2 & Frameworks, you will lead a section of approximately 15–20 employees and consultants working within software development and engineering capabilities.This is not only a people management role — it is also a key leadership position in shaping how we develop software, collaborate and grow our technical capabilities over time.
You will:
Lead and support teams through a coaching and trust-based leadership style
Develop people, competence and ways of working
Contribute to long-term technology and capability development
Create conditions for high-performing and sustainable engineering teams
Work closely with leaders, architects and teams across Saab sites
Balance operational delivery with strategic development
You will be part of the C2 & Datalinks management team and contribute to the continued development of our software organization, culture and delivery capability.
Who you are
We believe you are a leader who enjoys helping both people and technology evolve. You are comfortable navigating technical environments and enjoy collaborating with software teams, even if you are not the one making every technical decision yourself.
You likely have experience as:
Engineering Manager
Team Manager
Project Manager
Scrum Master or Agile Leader
Technical Lead with leadership responsibilities
You probably also have:
Experience from software development organizations
An interest in agile methods and modern engineering practices
A coaching and collaborative leadership style
The ability to create structure, clarity and engagement
A university degree within software engineering, computer science or similar
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
