SAAB Surveillance are looking for a curious, analytic, and self-motivated engineer to join our Operational Analytics Team. Do you want to work at the technology forefront and solve complex problems? Then you are the one we are looking for!
Your role
You will support R&D by investigating future needs of military products and evaluate impact of new technologies, capabilities, and product concepts. As part of our growing operational analysis team, you will research and analyze complex scenarios using tactical simulation and wargaming.
You will strive to make difficult problems easy to understand and to effectively communicate your results.

In your role you will engage with product managers, development engineers, strategy, marketing, and customers.
Your profile
You are a person with drive and good analytical ability who like challenges and open-ended problem solving. You enjoy working in teams and you are comfortable in taking a leading role when needed. You have a curious mindset and a genuine interest in technology and its application in a military context.
To be successful in the role you need to focus on the big picture while being able to identify the most important details.
Required skills:
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Engineering Physics, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Hands-on experience of programming and/or mathematical system modelling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Swedish
- Ability to balance the level of detail and identify all relevant factors in a given context
Desired skills:
- Experience form sensor and/or electronics warfare systems
- Military experience from either previous employment in the armed forces or military service
- Data visualization
- Experience from programming in Python and/or Matlab,
- Data science and/or Mathematical statistics
- Experience from the defence industry
- B-Drivers license
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
