Your Role
As part of our Mobile Air Traffic Management Systems organisation, you will play a key role in delivering advanced, safety-critical solutions to customers worldwide.
You will be part of a project team together with Project Managers and other technical specialists, where you will help transform complex system concepts into fully operational, real-world deployments. Our systems combine Saab-developed software, proprietary hardware platforms, and integrations with external suppliers - delivered as mobile systems that can be rapidly deployed in demanding environments.
Together with your team, you will contribute throughout the entire system lifecycle, from requirements and system design to integration, verification, deployment, and handover to operational use.
Key responsibilities include:
- Take technical responsibility within customer projects, ensuring system architecture, performance, and quality objectives are achieved
- Work with requirements management, system design, integration planning, and technical coordination
- Drive system-level activities such as configuration, testing, validation, and verification
- Support installation, commissioning, and deployment at customer sites
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, software developers, hardware engineers, and external suppliers
- Contribute to resolving technical challenges and managing system-level risks and dependencies
- Maintain close dialogue with customers and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet operational needs
The role includes travel to customer sites as part of deployment and system acceptance activities.
You will be part of a growing organisation consisting of System Engineers and Project Managers based in Växjö and Gothenburg, with your primary workplace in Växjö. As our organisation continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of our ways of working and strengthen our delivery capability.
Your Profile
We are looking for a structured and curious System Engineer who enjoys working with complex, integrated systems and wants to be part of delivering solutions that make a real difference.
You are comfortable working in a project-driven environment where requirements evolve, and where collaboration across disciplines is key to success.
To succeed in this role, you have:
- A degree (BSc/MSc) in computer engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related field
- A few years of experience working with complex technical systems
- Understanding of system development lifecycles, including requirements management, system design, integration, and verification
- Experience working in projects involving both software and hardware components
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to structure and prioritise work across multiple activities simultaneously
- Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
Experience working with safety-critical or regulated systems is considered an advantage, as is experience with deployment, installation, or field activities.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
