Your role

We are looking for Systems engineer to join us at Digital Defense at the Digital Battlespace Solutions Business Unit.

In this role, you will be designing, developing and maintaining systems to support our vulnerability research.

You’ll be working in a team of researchers and systems engineers to build automated AI-powered systems that empowers and enhances our abilities. As a team you’ll be create working systems, not just code, PoC’s and PowerPoints.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Design & Build AI-Augmented Systems: Design and build end-to-end software systems.

  • Architect, coder and tester: Engineer complete software systems in cloud environments.  

  • Own the Full Development Lifecycle: Build, deploy, monitor and improve systems continuously.

  • Problem solver: Together with the team identify and implement solutions to enhance the research. 

Your profile

You are highly motivated, analytical and technically skilled systems engineer who goes beyond coding to design, build, and run modern, AI-powered software systems.

Your skill set includes:

  • Strong system design & architecture skills (distributed systems, APIs, data flows)

  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, Go, Java, or TypeScript)

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Experience with data engineering or machine learning systems

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, testing, and observability tools

  • Ability to debug complex systems and evaluate trade-offs

  • Strong problem framing and decomposition skills

  • Knowledge of vulnerability research

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
