Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual as a Systems Integration Laboratory Lead Engineer to serve in support of the Training and Simulation Business Area. You will be joining a dynamic team supporting United States Marine Corps and US Army training and simulation programs with a focus on the Live Training Domain. As such you will lead the development and maintenance of a complex Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) in support of development and integration of advanced Live Training Capabilities to be fielded to the USMC and US Army.  Offer contingent upon contract win.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a Live Training SIL integrating various HW and SW subsystems in support of the program lifecycle

  • Identify and integrate key technologies to the SIL

  • Ensure availability of Lab capabilities in support fo key customer and user touchpoints during the program lifecycle

  • Manage the access and schedule of lab capabilities and assets

  • Ensure reference baselines are available at all times

  • Ensure configuration management of SIL assets by integrating items under development with Lab infrastructure

  • Support the deployment and operation of SIL assets in support of test and experiment  in the field including CONOS and OCONUS DoD installations

  • Some travel (up to 25%) CONUS and OCUNUS is required

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in a technical/engineering discipline

  • 5+ years serving in the System Integration function on large, complex programs including “cradle to grave” program lifecycles

  • Practical experience integrating items under development into integration environments

  • Field experience with US DoD installations including austere environments

  • Ability to operate independently with limited direction to ensure high availability of SIL assets in support of developmental and user integration events.

  • Physical Requirements: 

  • Able to lift heavy equipment (up to 100lbs)

  • Ability to deploy to austere environments
