What We Are Looking For
We are seeking candidates who have completed tertiary training in electronic or electrical fields and are keen to learn and work within the maritime industry.
1. Qualified Technician: Certificate III or relevant experience in an Engineering, Electronics, Networking or related fields.
2. Licences: Hold, or be eligible to apply/receive, relevant state licences (e.g. Restricted Electrical Licence).
3. An ability to learn from experienced technicians.
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.
Your skills and experience will also include:
Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Confidently adjust to changing priorities, identify underlying issues, and actively contribute to system improvement initiatives.
Operational Readiness: Available for deployment (interstate and offshore) to perform critical installation and maintenance tasks.
Autonomy & Efficiency: Capable of managing competing priorities under minimal supervision while consistently exceeding job requirements and meeting strict deadlines.
Communication & Collaboration: Function confidently within a team, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and foster a spirit of co-operation.
Technical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills, excellent written/verbal communication, and intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Applicants need to be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain a NV1 level. Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes, including ITAR.
