As a Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating, supporting, implementing, and monitoring tasks within the assigned naval shipbuilding project with focus on delivering mission systems. You will take primary responsibility for managing and supporting the technical areas of the project.
We are seeking a technician with strong cooperation skills, drive, enthusiasm, and the ability
to communicate and to clarify complex technical solutions. A good understanding of the technical projects with significant software and hardware content is essential. Experience and expertise in areas such as military electronic warfare, command and control systems, communications systems, ICT networks and cybersecurity would be an advantage.
You will be part of the project technical team, which consists of people from engineering departments and you will work in close contact with technical managers, product managers, system integration and verification managers and system engineering managers.
Location: Your place of work will be the Gdańsk office. This position is primarily office-based, so remote work is possible only in exceptional circumstances.
The position will require occasional travel within Poland and internationally to support business needs and projects.
Your role:
Customer and end-user interaction;
Provide technical customer support;
Coordinate and supervise the flow of technical documents;
Support to manage sub-projects and sub-suppliers;
Ensure the customer receives the agreed system delivery with high quality and satisfaction;
Attend customer meetings;
Support the planning of trials and tests;
Identify red flags and develop mitigation scenarios;
Collaborate with engineers on the integration of modules;
Carry out servicing and maintenance tasks on electronic equipment (preventive and corrective maintenance);
Assist with the diagnosis and repair of electronic equipment;
Support the installation, commissioning, and configuration of applicable systems;
Support the software installation and integration process;
Support of the software test and verification process.
Your profile:
Academic/technical, military or other relevant education.
Technical project management experience;
At least 2 years’ experience as a service engineer or an electronics or telecommunications technician (experience in the military or maritime sectors is desirable);
Knowledge of technical issues and experience in one or several of the following areas is preferred:
RF and communication technologies (HF, VHF, UHF), satellite systems, IP networks, microwave links, router/modem configuration;
basic understanding of radio-electronic reconnaissance, COMINT, ELINT, and jamming systems (ESM/ECM);
experience in operating/integrating combat management systems, tactical display systems or related systems;
basic understanding of navigations systems and sub-systems;
ability to read schematic and assembly diagrams, and to operate measuring equipment);
knowledge of TCP/IP networking and protocols, VLAN configuration, and cybersecurity issues;
installation, commissioning and configuration of the electronic systems;
troubleshooting and resolving faults in communications systems, SIGINT or CMS.
Comprehensive technical system-of-systems knowledge in the military naval domain, including joint capabilities;
Good understanding of the Polish Armed Forces’ regulations, standards and requirements;
Fluent in English and in Polish language;
Demonstrates good technical leadership;
Able to work independently with a strong personal drive;
Excellent social skills to build up and maintain interpersonal, business partner and customer relations;
Ability to plan and coordinate effectively and efficiently to keep focus on priorities and deal with several complex issues simultaneously.

As a Personnel Security Clearance is required for this role, applicants shall already hold or have the ability to obtain one.
