The Role:
This is a contract role, part of our Training and Simulation division.
The role of this Training Analyst is to provide detailed analysis of Tactical Engagement System (TES) data to help create the training exercise After Action Review (ARRs) for the customer.
In Addition:
Plan and deliver ‘AAR supported’ TES exercises at levels Training Level ALPHA to CHARLIE.
Collate, analyse and prepare AAR product.
Advise exercising troops on the capabilities of the Saab equipment and coordinate with them before and during deployment to ensure that they utilise its full potential and receive the maximum training benefit.
Key Responsibilities:
Core:
As directed by the Operations Managers, plan training support for Training Level ALPHA to CHARLIE TES exercises in the UK or overseas.
Deliver training support for Training Level ALPHA – CHARLIE TES exercises in the UK or overseas.
Lead a small team comprising of an LTA (Logistics & Training Adviser) and a Field Tech in deployed support to exercises.
Deploy as an Analyst as part of bigger team (up to Training Level FOXTROT), in support of a Lead or Senior Analyst.
Deliver a TES capability brief to troops, as required.
Conduct ‘TES Fitness’ from WinEXCON (Analyst software).
Operate the WinEXCON software on either laptops or desktops to provide analysis and content for AAR support throughout the exercise.
When required, assist the LTA with both the Issue and Receipt phases, including ‘TES Fitness’.
Support the customer in the delivery of AARs.
Create a unit ‘Take Home Pack’.
Support completion of PTRs (Post Training Reports) and completion of PXRs.
Auxiliary Roles:
Assist with the erection and maintenance of the PBS communication system if required.
Assist with logistical resupply if required.
Assist the Lead or Senior Analyst in preparation of the ORBAT.
Assist the Lead or Senior Analyst with the unit ‘Take Home Pack’, as required.
Assist with any data exploitation tasks, as required.
Support experimentation exercises and demos as required.
Assist with any continuation training, as required.
Ensure that the field team adheres to all Site and Field Team working instructions.
Other:
Fulfil the role of Lead Analyst or Senior Analyst, as required.
Attend training in the UK or overseas, as required (for example: CONDO / Driver Training).
Support Saab marketing activity, as required (i.e. VIP briefs during exercises etc).
Support other Saab projects or departments, as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Relevant Combat Arm Command & Tactics course (essential).
Or, relevant Combat Support Command & Tactics course (essential).
Experience of working in battlegroup headquarters (highly desirable).
Military operational experience (desirable).
Understanding of DCC and / or MCC and Combined Arms tactics to Training Level FOXTROT.
Valid driving UK driving licence (B+E desirable)
Valid UK passport (in date)
Must be able to pass CONDO medical.
