Transformation Roadmap Lead

Solna, Göteborg or Linköping,
Sweden
Closing date: 2 August 2025

Are you driven by clarity, structure, and strategic impact? Join Group Digitalisation as Transformation Roadmap Lead and drive the execution of Saab’s digital strategy. If you thrive on creating clarity, alignment and impact across complex initiatives, this role is for you.

Your role

Your role will involve leading the establishment and ongoing management of the transformation roadmap, clearly articulating the key initiatives through which the group-wide digital strategy is primarily implemented. This will include identifying, defining, and setting up these initiatives to ensure the strategy can be executed with transparency and certainty across multiple dimensions, such as business, product, data, technology, and people.

You will conduct continuous analysis and proactive problem-solving to ensure planned progress and agreed outcomes. Additionally, you will oversee and manage key dependencies, milestones, and risks effectively. You will implement mechanisms to manage stakeholders and communicate progress, results, and challenges broadly. Furthermore, you will continuously evaluate the roadmap and recommend corrective actions to ensure a robust strategy implementation.

You will be part of a team dedicated to the continuous development of Saab's digital strategy, supporting its execution to ensure the necessary direction, pace, and coordination across various initiatives and teams.

Your profile

We’re looking for someone with strong facilitation skills and the ability to engage confidently across leadership, engineering, product and commercial teams. You know how to build and maintain alignment across dispersed stakeholders, managing complexity without losing clarity or momentum. Your written and verbal communication is excellent, particularly in settings involving executive-level steering groups. With a structured, systems-oriented mindset and a pragmatic approach to prioritisation, you bring focus and direction where it’s most needed. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity and skilled at leading through influence in a matrixed environment.

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years driving digital transformation, portfolio or program management, or leading a TMO/PMO function—either within a digitally mature industrial company with autonomous Business Areas, or as a consultant serving such organisations.
  • Proven experience in building structured, cross-functional roadmaps across business, product, tech and people dimensions.
  • Industry experience in engineered products and/or the defense sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong ability to architect and align transformation roadmaps that tie into overarching company strategy to a software-enabled product portfolio.
  • Skilled in defining clear phasing, dependencies, and success metrics, and in connecting high-level strategic ambitions to operational milestones.
  • Adept at identifying capability gaps, prioritisation logic, and transformation governance models.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
