Internship program
Our Internship Program will give you the opportunity to put into practice, what you have been learning throughout your studies, and gain invaluable experience in a defence and civil solutions company.
Kick start your engineering career
Our paid internship program runs for up to 12 weeks during December-February. During this placement, you will work alongside our world-leading engineers gaining experience on real-life projects and case studies. You will further your knowledge and skills from colleagues who are experts in their field.
As well as the day-to-day support you’ll receive from your supervisors and team, you’ll be provided a mentor from our current graduate cohort. This will help with your transition into the workforce and gives you an insight into what it is like to work at Saab.
What do we look for?
We recruit talented high-achievers who are inquisitive problem-solvers and have a passion for delivering products that will help keep people and society safe. To be eligible for the Saab Australia Internship Program, you will need to meet the following criteria:
- You will be in your penultimate year,
- or have completed at least three years of a bachelor’s degree in engineering; specialising in electrical/electronics, mechanical/mechatronics, computer systems or software.
- To work at Saab you must comply with defence industry security requirements (ie. you will be an Australian citizen and be able to meet eligibility requirements).
