New Head of Saab Latin America
The Latin American region will become its own market area in January 2015. Bo Torrestedt, who will serve as Head of Latin America, is confident about his region's future.
"The defence and security market in Latin America is growing," said Mr. Torrestedt. "We look forward to being part of that growth and gaining access to new business opportunities."
Mr. Torrestedt has 25 years of work experience in Latin America: first in systems engineering and customer training, and later in marketing and sales. In his eight years with Saab, he has focused on business development within the region, and sees great potential for Saab's products there – specifically fighters, airborne early warning systems, air defence and traffic management systems for air and maritime.
"By splitting MA Americas into two regions, we can provide more tailored service to current and potential customers," Mr. Torrestedt concluded. "I am happy to continue my work in the area, and I am confident that we will see great success."
