Andy Fraser appointed Managing Director of Saab UK

Saab has appointed Andy Fraser as Managing Director of its business in the United Kingdom, effective July 2024.

Andy Fraser joins Saab from the defence company Babcock, where he most recently held the position of Managing Director of the Effectors Business Unit. Saab UK Ltd is going through a period of rapid growth as part of Saab’s multi-domestic strategy bringing together the best of British and Swedish engineering. As the Managing Director of Saab UK Andy Fraser will lead the business in its onward growth and provision of Saab’s broad offering to our customers.

“With his strong leadership profile in the UK defence industry and military service with the British Army, Andy Fraser is the right person to lead Saab UK in this next phase. He will strengthen our operations and enable our growth journey with his proven skills including driving advanced engineering programmes. He will also further develop our close relationships with Babcock and other key British defence industry players.”

Andy Fraser comes to Saab with proven experience across the defence industry, including strategic and operational engineering leadership roles, a career as a British Army Officer and an MSc in Battlespace Technologies from Cranfield University.  Andy Fraser replaces Dean Rosenfield as Managing Director as he moves to a new role outside of Saab, Andy is expected to start no later than the start of July 2024.
