Saab UK Showcases Future-Ready Maritime Solutions at Combined Naval Event 2025
Saab UK was proud to participate in this year’s Combined Naval Event (CNE), held 20–22 May in Farnborough. As a leading provider of advanced defence and security systems, Saab demonstrated its commitment to supporting the Royal Navy, NATO partners, and allied maritime forces with innovative and operationally proven technologies.
Positioned at Stand E23, Saab presented a portfolio of cutting-edge maritime solutions, including the Multi-Shot Mine Neutralisation System (MuMNS), Seaeye Falcon Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs), the Giraffe 1X radar, and the highly versatile CB90 fast assault craft. These systems represent Saab’s dedication to delivering modular, scalable capabilities tailored to the evolving demands of the maritime domain.
Advancing Naval Mine Countermeasures
MuMNS took centre stage as a highlight of Saab’s exhibit, offering attendees a closer look at how modern mine warfare is evolving. Designed for safe and efficient neutralisation of underwater threats, MuMNS supports both stand-alone and integrated operations, enhancing naval mine countermeasure capabilities in complex environments.
Underwater Capabilities and Situational Awareness
Saab also featured the Seaeye Falcon, a compact yet powerful ROV used for a variety of subsea inspection and intervention missions. For air-surveillance, the Giraffe 1X radar is renowned for its rapid deployment, 3D situational awareness, and small footprint. These systems underscore Saab’s integrated approach to maritime surveillance and protection.
High-Speed Response with the CB90
On display was the CB90 fast assault craft, a proven high-speed vessel designed to deliver personnel and equipment quickly and efficiently in both littoral and open-water operations. With unmatched agility and protection, the CB90 supports a wide spectrum of naval missions, from patrol and interception to amphibious operations.
Commitment to Future Maritime Security
Saab’s presence at CNE 2025 reinforces its enduring mission to enhance the security and resilience of naval forces through technology, training, and partnership.
