Saab to shed 40 personnel at Combitech Systems AB
Saab to shed 40 personnel at Combitech Systems AB Combitech Systems AB, a company within the Saab Group, is to shed 40 employees. The move affects administrative personnel at the 10 or so locations in Sweden. "It is obviously unfortunate to have to take this step, but at the same time it is necessary as it is based on the market's altered requirements on us," says Christer Hoberg, head of Combitech Systems AB. Intensive marketing work in 2003 has brought clarity to the market's altered demands on expertise and services. Based on this new situation, re-structuring will now be carried out to further clarify the expertise focus and customer orientation of the various business areas. In conjunction with this restructuring some overstaffing has been identified, and with it a need to adapt expenditure to meet market demands in 2004. Negotiations have been entered into with the relevant union organizations. Saab is one of the world's leading high-technology companies, with its main operations focusing on defence, aviation and space. The group covers a broad spectrum of competence and capabilities in systems integration.
