Saab Training Systems sells Combat Training Centers to Finnish Army

 Saab, Training & Simulation has received an order from the Finnish Defence Force on Combat Training Systems that will supply regiments. The order also includes support for seven years starting 2014. The value of the order amounts to approximately MSEK 360 million.

“The Finnish Defence Force has once again chosen Saab as its partner. The Finnish Army uses Saabs systems since more than ten years and has always been a competent user. This order strengthens our position as one of the world’s leading suppliers of combat training centers,” says Henrik Höjer, Vice President Training & Simulation, Saab.

The contract comprises the Finnish army with anti-tank simulators, vehicles simulators and systems for Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT). The simulators include the new laser standard OSAG 2. The contract also includes Mid Life Upgrade of the finish combat training centre, KASI system. The new regimental system and the KASI system will be used together in a battalion exercises.
